No it does not. For example, suppose you have a deed to a house where the father has the life estate until he dies, then after his death, it goes to his sons. Well, then, the deed would control what happens to the property. If it was in his name alone and there was no life estate and there were no remaindermen, then it would be probate property, and the will would control. This can happen with stock accounts, bank accounts, and other types of property. You really need to talk to a lawyer on how to do it.
